I still get a fair amount of feedback on v1.3, so I wanted to get the 'final' (until we we find bugs) version back out into the wild. From the OP about it:
I took the official DnD_5E_CharacterSheet - Form Fillable and made a few improvements:
switched to Adobe Reader Extended format, so you can simply type in the form fields and save
made most of the fields bigger
embedded the Roboto Condensed font
switched to auto-scale font sizes
made the tab order of the form fields more logical.
Directions: You'll have the best results downloading this and opening it with Adobe Acrobat Reader. Other PDF readers may work, but I haven't tested them. After you download, type in your character, save, and optionally print. That's it!

Edit 1:/u/JapanNoodleLife pointed out the font was still tiny in a few places so I bumped it up for saving throws, skills, and spells.

Edit 2:/u/GrymDraig pointed out that since the OP Wizards has updated to Extended format (making it easy to edit and save) so that's a good thing. My version still has some upgrades, so try both and see which you like.
